Who writes this site?
I do. I'm Chris Taylor, and I live and work in Kingman. Through Taylor Family Store I run hourly estate sales for families settling an estate, downsizing, or selling from out of state. That work is where this site's content comes from. I've pulled the parcels, paid the back taxes, scheduled the septic transfer inspections, and waited on the well reports. When a page here says the county filing fee is $50, it's because I've paid it.
How is the site funded?
Out of my own pocket, mostly. Standard directory listings are free and curated; I research local businesses and list the ones that actually serve Mohave County. Featured profiles are available for businesses that want them. The site doesn't charge referral fees, doesn't take commissions, and doesn't sell leads. When my own companies appear (Taylor Family Store for estate sales), the connection is said plainly on the page rather than disguised as a neutral recommendation.
How do directory listings work?
Businesses get listed one of two ways: I find them while researching a category, or they ask through the get listed page. Either way, listing is free. I verify details against public sources before publishing, and provider pages say plainly that visitors should confirm current details directly with the business. Nobody can pay to outrank anyone, and a listing is never an endorsement; it's a starting point with the homework shown.
What happens when something is wrong?
It gets fixed, fast. Business owners send corrections through the contact form and the live page is typically updated the same day, with a confirmation reply once it's done. The same goes for fees and rules in the guides: county fees, permit requirements, and program details change, so key pages carry a "last verified" date and get re-checked on a schedule. If you spot something stale before I do, tell me and I'll fix it.
